I have a funny relationship with bees (and wasps) and am constantly amazed by them and the fruits of their labor. I was stung by a wasp right before a swimming race I was in when I was about 6 or 7 years old, which I won because I was so worried about the sting that I practically ran through the water. Actually, I think everytime I’ve been stung by a bee has been in or around a swimming pool. Crafty fuckers. An old midnight snack of mine I used to make as a wee girl was saltines drizzled with honey sometimes paired with a glass of milk. And Burt’s Bees has some great beauty products; the smell of their baby lotion is absolutely divine, and who doesn’t love their chapstick?
